We just recently purchased a juicer from Amazon and started playing with recipes to make delicious yet healthy juices.

A cup of fresh juice that contains natural ingredients, vitamins and enzymes can provide what the body needs to function and it is also gentle on the stomach because it is easy to absorb. It is the easiest way to add vitamins and essential minerals to your daily diet to help prevent diseases, nurture the immune system and even aid in delaying skin aging process.

A tip when preparing recipes for the morning while on empty stomach is to avoid higher-acidity juice as it can cause some discomfort. Also, keep in mind that juices should be consumed in moderation, one to two 250ml juice cups per day for adults and one to two 150ml juice cups per day for children.

Choosing a juicer

There are hundreds of juicers available on the market for sale and if you don’t know exactly what you want from your juicer then the task might become a little more daunting and even tiring.

We opted to purchase a slow masticating juicer for a couple of reasons:

Apple Radish Juice

Ingredients:

  • One Apple
  • Half Carrot
  • 6 oz of milk
  • Honey (as desired)

Preparation:

Peel apples and cut them into small piecer. Add cut up apples and carrots into the juicer. Mix juice with milk, honey and mix well.

  • 2 tablespoons canned full-fat coconut milk
